Home News UCS Veterinary Nursing Students Complete 2026 OSCEs

University Centre Sparsholt Veterinary Nursing learners have taken the final step on their journey to professional registration

In June 2026, 39 of our FdSc Veterinary Nursing Science students sat their OSCEs (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations), marking the culmination of their veterinary nursing training here at UCS.

Upon successfully passing their OSCEs, the students will be eligible to join the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Register of Veterinary Nurses and become Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs).

This is a significant milestone that reflects their dedication, hard work, and commitment to providing high standards of veterinary care. We wish all 39 students every success and look forward to welcoming them into the veterinary nursing profession.

University Centre Sparsholt has a very strong provision for teaching and training Veterinary Nurses on our vet nursing degree. Our teaching staff bring experience and expertise in all areas of animal work including vet nursing, health and welfare work as well as animal training.

Our purpose‑built Veterinary Nursing Centre boasts radiology, consultation preparation and theatre rooms and all the equipment veterinary nurses use on a daily basis. In addition, our BIAZA‑accredited Animal Health and Welfare Research Centre is stocked with a diverse and extensive range of animals that allows you to develop your practical animal handling and husbandry skills.
